Queensland Rugby League extends partnership with EMU Sportswear
Posted on August 12 2020
Queensland Rugby League has announced the reappointment of EMU Sportswear as an official licensee for the 2021/24 seasons.
This announcement further extends the established 40 year relationship the QRL has with EMU Sportswear and reinforces the suppliers leadership across the state's teamwear market for Rugby League clubs and schools.
The four-year Q Licensing Program will see the brand supply a broad range of team's on field uniforms through to the training apparel, for both players, staff and members. The partnership sees the continued alignment with the QRL's broader strategy to aid and support community Rugby League.
The licensing program allows EMU Sportswear to use the QRL's approved logo(s) on all on-field, off-field and supporter clothing for affiliates, club teams and entities that participate in QRL affiliated matches and competitions.
Speaking on the announcement of the renewal, John Short, EMU Sportswear's Managing Director, said:
"The QRL have shown their faith in us again as a preferred supplier. As we continue to strive internationally we never forget our Queensland roots and take pride in our long standing association with the QRL. We love getting involved with club footy and having our license renewed for another 4 years means we are doing something right."
"During these uncertain times we have been working hard on our processes and looking at new ways we can better serve our Rugby League community. Along with our traditional methods of supplying clubs and schools, we can now provide new and exciting ordering and retail opportunities through multiple online avenues. This allows us to offer a fresh approach to how clubs can benefit but also support their players and members."
